In 2007, Naomi Klein (finally) collected the insights which had troubled her and a LOT of folks for the previous generation or so about certain predatory aspects of the "post-industrial" capitalist sispensation, and published the results in a vlume which stirred up a hornet's nest of controversy then, and is STILL required reading if, for example, you want to try to understand why socio-economic conditions in such diverse places as Haiti and (now) the lower MIssissippi Valley turn out the ways they do.
