i have no opinion on the relative veracity of the Zarqawi story, except to reiterate, "we" are creating monsters.
i am struck by how large the photo is and how much it looks like a postmodern museum piece. or as Little Brother remarked "a head on a pike"

How do I feel? To hell with Zarqawi (or Zayrkawi as Bush calls him). He was an American creation- he came along with them- they don't need him anymore, apparently. His influence was greatly exaggerated but he was the justification for every single family they killed through military strikes and troops.
Nice of someone to close his eyes. I was amused by the clip of the pentagon suit explaining to the munchkin band exactly he died. I understand they're sending out an autopsy team to find out for sure. Tell ya what, I'll do it from here, and the government can send me 1/1000th of the cost of sending that team to Iraq. Ready? Someone dropped 500 pounds of cordite in his laundry hamper in the next room. That was tough. Someone took time to compose his face. I've seen the remnants of concussive explosions and it's not pretty.
