I always thought Tillman was 'fragged.'

But ’fragging’ usually comes from the bottom up: a grunt gets tired of a gung-ho looie bucking for promotion over his dead body, and tosses a grenade into the officers’ latrine on the sly.

This looks like premeditated murder; assassination, even: three shots to the forehead, from close range? That ain’t NO KINDA accident.

The biggest question I have nurtured since the event was/is “why did they burn his journal?”

From AP (via TruthOut dot Org)
"Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime," reports the Associated Press.

Evidently Tillman was learning a lot. His brother has made a few remarks about how pointless he'd found the war to be. I am waiting for the family's reaction to this news.

"The troops are fighting for our freedoms....."

Just don't express anti-war views or be an atheist.

Don't forget that according to Tillman's mother, he was communicating with Chomsky and planning a meeting returning from Afghanistan.

the big question is, is the bush administration totally incompetent or totally evil?

the answer of course is yes.

in claiming executive privelege to avoid releasing records on tillman, even AFTER everyone knew he was killed by "friendly fire," they certainly created the impression that bushco knew more about this case than they let on. which would be a very stupid thing to do and then have this come back and bite them - unless of course ...
